Vuitton, Prada, Chanel & Co and then there is Hermés…

The Hermés Birkin Bag, hard to come by, like anything of quality, I heard some are on a waiting list for a year…I take mine everywhere, it has become part of my trademark, the orange bag lady. It’s not just beautiful but also practical it has the right form and size and considering it is a design before MacBooks and iPads, it fits both.
Legend has it that in 1981 Jane Birkin, actress and partner of Serge Gainsbourgh was seated next to Hermès chief executive Jean-Louis Dumas on a flight from Paris to London.
She had just placed her straw bag in the overhead compartment of her seat, but the contents fell to the ground.
Birkin explained to Dumas that it had been difficult to find a leather weekend bag she liked. In 1984, he created a black leather bag for her, based on an 1892 design. The bag has since become an icon.
